In the presence of Professor Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noumi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University, the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the University, organized an awareness course entitled “Steps for Electronic Application for Academic Promotions – Duties and Responsibilities of Department Heads and Faculty Members,” held at Dr. Muhannad Maher Hall.
The course was delivered by Professor Dr. Nihad Abdulhussein Jaafar, Head of the Academic Promotions Committee at the College, along with Professor Dr. Hassan Hadi Khurshid and Professor Dr. Omar Al-Thani Sharif Saeed, members of the committee.
The first day of the course focused on explaining the electronic application process for academic promotions, including detailed steps for preparing promotion files in accordance with approved regulations. It also addressed publication requirements and the criteria for accepting research in reputable academic journals.
Additionally, the course covered the roles and responsibilities of department heads and faculty members in following up on promotion procedures, as well as the mechanisms for reviewing and ensuring that submitted files meet academic standards. Emphasis was placed on adherence to regulations to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
The course was attended by a number of faculty members, who actively engaged with its topics due to their importance in advancing academic careers and enhancing the quality of scientific performance within the College.
