The College of Veterinary Medicine Holds a Scientific Course on Variability in Drug Response

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the University, organized a scientific course entitled “Variability in Drug Response,” held at Dr. Muhannad Maher Hall.

The course was delivered by Professor Dr. Seham Ajmi Wadi and Assistant Lecturer Ibrahim Qahtan Naji. It addressed several key topics, most notably the factors influencing variability in individuals’ responses to medications, including genetic, physiological, and environmental determinants.

The course also explored interspecies differences in pharmacological responses, the importance of appropriate dosing, drug interactions, and the role of nutrition and overall health status in determining treatment efficacy.

The event was attended by a number of faculty members and students, who actively engaged with its topics due to their significance in enhancing scientific understanding of safe and effective drug use in the veterinary field.
